The first gift package we created when In His Presents was launched was the John 3:16 – Believe subscription box. Why? Because, that’s where it all begins for Christians. We choose to believe that there is a loving God who created us. The major tenant of our faith is that Jesus Christ is Gods’ only begotten son and that he willing gave him as a sacrifice for our sins.
As Christians, we traditionally celebrated December 25th as the birthday of Jesus and our pathway to salvation by giving heartfelt gifts to family and friends during the holiday season. But the commercialism of Christmas has caused some of us to lose sight of the real reason we celebrate on this day. When did the giving and receiving of holiday gifts become more important than the celebration of the birth of Jesus our savior? And … how does the mass shopping hysteria that begins on Black Friday and fighting over the last highly discounted 60” television at Walmart honor the birth of Christ? It doesn’t.
As you are preparing to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ this holiday season, we hope you will remember to share your faith with those that do not know that He alone is the real reason for the season. It’s the best gift they will ever receive. And … His love is a present they can open every day for the rest of their lives and into eternity. We hope you have very Blessed Christmas!
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
As we gather together with family and friends to celebrate this Christmas, let us remember to first offer up a prayer of thanksgiving for the most precious gift we all received when we accepted your son, Jesus Christ, as our Lord and Savior.
